The corporation's basis of belief is the utilization of computer intelligence information and applying this to the medical industry creating better quality healthcare outcomes while reducing costs.

MEDai, Inc. is a leading health information company, offering award-winning solutions to the payor and provider markets. These processes provide healthcare providers solutions that incorporate disease focused severity adjustment, benchmarking and evidence-based processes of care to improve outcomes in a hospital-based setting. Payors and care management organizations are able to predict patients at risk, identify cost drivers for their high-risk population, forecast future health plan costs, evaluate patient patterns over time, and improve outcomes.

MEDai supplies six major products to the healthcare industry:

  1. Risk Navigator Clinical® - an application for managed care organizations, insurers or disease management companies which identifies those members who are at highest risk for future healthcare cost, and allows the users to profile these members by disease, employer group, drug group, etc.
  2. Risk Navigator Performance™ -a product, which incorporates retrospective utilization profiling and risk information. Provider performance can be measured against national and regional benchmarks. Key information includes Case Mix Index, Efficiency Index and Episode evaluation of potential savings
  3. Risk Navigator Financial™- an application, which provides actuarial and underwriting reporting functionality, cost predictions, and modeling flexibility. Historical trends in cost, utilization and risk by group and renewal date, combined with predictive capabilities, make this a very powerful tool for Actuarial and Underwriting teams.
  4. Risk Navigator Provider™-an application for clinicians and/or office managers with the ability to retrieve information for a specific patient, obtain a list of all patients' evidence-based medicine compliance, and review utilization performance. Disease and diagnosis reports at aggregate and individual patient levels are also available.
  5. Pinpoint Quality - application, which provides clinically relevant data for clinicians to improve care, patient satisfaction and operational efficiency by incorporating severity adjustment strategies with Intelligent data management approach to provide the best data for decision-making.
  6. Pinpoint Compliance - a product, which complements PPQ and meets JCAHO ORYX guidelines.
  7. Risk Navigator Reporter- application, which provides additional ad-hoc reporting capabilities for each module via the Cognos Powerplay Product.
