Clinical Product Specialist
This highly motivated individual is a valuable part of the Clinical Product Development team. The Clinical Product Development team provides clinical information to assist in product design. Other activities of the role include but are not limited to
Responsibilities
- Implement, research, design, test and document rules supporting clinical guidelines.
- Perform research of published clinical literature to support product or clinical guideline development.
- Provide customer support from a clinical perspective on identifying and managing individuals for care management activities using MEDai products
- Performs clinical and statistical QA of products and predictive model results
- Train customers on MEDai’s guideline editing product
- Maintain currency with new developments in healthcare, identifying areas influencing MEDai products
- Maintain medical code sets with new codes as they are released.
- Review, analyze and synthesize health care data to support quality improvement activities
Requirements
- Clinical degree such as RN, LPN, PA or physician with minimum 5 years clinical experience in hospital, office, home health, rehabilitation settings or combination of education and experience required. Requires at least 2 years of healthcare data analytics, QA/QI or informatics experience.
- Knowledge of or experience with quality improvement, quality assurance practices in healthcare settings.
- Proven experience in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word
- Experience with relational databases and SQL fluency is highly desirable
- Working knowledge of medical claim coding
- Knowledge or working history of rules-based analysis, statistical analysis, predictive modeling
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Strong project management, time management, presentation and organizational skills required.
- Occasional business travel (10%) may be required
Education
