Medical Data Analyst
Individual needed in support of daily data processing and client implementation. Individuals will analyze and evaluate medical claims data to support company's predictive modeling tool targeted at health plans and will perform production functions as required to process client data with client interaction experience.
Responsibilities
- Analyze,
audit, and process data
- Test, track, and monitor data for
quality, integrity, and trend analysis. Conduct research as needed
- Work
with clients on data specification requirements and data issued identified
- Complete
deliverables through production application
- Complete
ad hoc reports as required
Requirements
- Demonstrate
strong application skills in the use of relational databases and should be familiar with database extract and
analyzing tools for utilizing multiple large data sets
- Analyst
must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high
aptitude for critical thinking.
- Knowledge
of medical claims data and clinical coding preferred
- Demonstrate
experience with spreadsheet, database and software applications a must
- Must possess good time-management skills
- Must
be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Must
be very detailed oriented with excellent follow through
- Must
possess strong interpersonal, communication; verbal and written and
customer service skills
- Knowledge
of managed care or third party payer environment a plus
- Knowledge
of SQL a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s
degree or equivalent related experience is strongly recommended
Experience
- Minimum
3-5 years experience involving analyzing, auditing and processing data
