Product Manager
Product Manager Responsibility:
- Product Manager is responsible for the overall product life cycle management of the MEDai product lines, including specifically the Risk Navigator Product Suite and PinPoint Product Suite. This includes product definition, life cycle management, and product line marketability.
- Product Manager develops business cases for new products, plans and implements product launch and manages the marketing mix post-launch. The Product Manager is responsible for managing incoming customer and market requirements, evaluating their feasibility with Development, determining their costs, and translating them into an overall product roadmap
- Product Management is responsible for supervising the daily activities of for each product line.
- Product Requirements – The Product Manager collects customer/market requirements from internal and external sources (customers, prospects, sales personnel, etc.), produces product requirement documents according to company quality guidelines, evaluates them against company strategies, submits them to Development for scoping, then evaluates the commercial attractiveness of the requirement and determines whether it should be included in the agreed Product Roadmap
- Product Documentation – The Product Manager is responsible for managing the availability of business product descriptions, as well as providing the necessary input to Product Marketing for the production of marketing collatera.
- Product Life-Cycle Management - The Product Manager is the decision maker related to product development requests and product issues related to prospects and existing customers.
- Conduct competitive market analysis and ensure product will fit with the company’s portfolio strategy.
- Conduct further assessment directly with the customer (example: focus groups, trade shows, etc.)
- Monitor competition and general market trends.
- Development for scoping and design of solutions to product requirements.
- Customer Service and Account Management for product-related customer issues.
- Provide a technical interface and commercial support to Sales and Account management during the pre-sales process and contribute to the Bid/Proposal process.
- Give presentations to both internal and external parties on current and future product developments, as well as publish regular Product Updates related to new system functionalities and other high-priority product issues.
- The Product Manager will act as a central point of contact for Sales concerning technical questions that cannot be answered by existing collaterals.
- Provide overall product leadership to cross-functional teams (indirect) and manage direct reports (direct).
- Development, prioritization of requirements, execution of project plans. Identify potential risks and mitigate.
- Define and meet quality control standards.
- Review and update, content plan, features and functionality, product collateral, and technology lifecycle.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Knowledge of and experience in Product Management and/or related in hospital and medical fields (example: System Architecture).
- BA degree in Healthcare Administration/Business Administration with IT level technical/professional or commercial education, plus 5 years work experience.
- Thorough knowledge of and preferably an established network within the medical technology industry.
- Able to work independently yet collaborate cross-functionally in a team environment.
- Sufficient technical aptitude to understand and influence complex technology issues.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally.
- Good understanding of Development or a similar technology company environment.
- Excellent English technical writing ability (requirements and documentation).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Enthusiasm and energy to ensure projects are completed effectively and in a timely manner; attention to detail.
- Desire to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing, emerging technology environment.
- Excellent program management skills and ability to handle multiple/shifting priorities and manage time and deadlines effectively.
Education
- BA degree in Healthcare Administration/Business Administration with IT level technical/professional or commercial education
