Research Analyst
The research analyst position requires someone with comprehensive knowledge in the field of predictive modeling, data analysis and data mining methodologies. The ideal candidate should be a team player and will work in our R&D team.
Responsibilities
- Analysis and modeling of large medical claims databases
- Enhancement of currently defined models and heuristic applications
- Development of customized models
- Programming predictive modeling algorithms
Requirements
- Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in quantitative discipline: statistics, applied math, data mining, machine learning, operations research, computer science, etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of some of the following quantitative methods: regression, classification, cluster analysis, decision trees, hypothesis testing, neural nets, SVM, time series, outlier identification, simulated annealing, genetic algorithms, etc.
- Extreme attention to details
- Strong proficiency in SAS, C++ and SQL
- Experience with large data sets, experience in the field of health care, good publications, all are a plus
- Team player
