MEDai CEO Discusses the Benefits of Predictive Modeling
at National Managed Healthcare Congress

February 10, 2005 – (Orlando, FL) - MEDai, Inc., headquartered in Orlando, FL, a leading provider of advanced solutions for healthcare that utilize award-winning predictive modeling technology, announced today that Steve Epstein, President and CEO of MEDai, along with other healthcare leaders will lead a panel discussion on "What Employers Want that Technology Can Help Deliver" at the upcoming National Managed Healthcare Congress (NMHCC). NMHCC will be held March 7-9, 2005 in Washington, DC. MEDai will also be exhibiting in booth #220.

The panel will focus on how employer purchasers of healthcare can focus on achieving maximal value for the health care benefit dollars they spend. Attendees will hear how the growing demand from employers for value based care has stimulated the development of the emerging technologies; better understand how employer enthusiasm for direct economic incentives to providers and patients has mobilized enthusiasm and receptivity for tech based solutions; and see how IT enables the creation of actionable "to do" lists for health benefit cost control.

MEDai's Risk Navigator Clinical accurately identifies prospective high-risk patients to improve patients' health and quality of care while controlling cost. The advantage of MEDai's prediction engine is its use of the right combination of linear and non-linear models to correctly "fit" the characteristics of the client's population. Without eliminating outliers-the very events clients want to predict-Risk Navigator Clinical consistently yields the highest accuracy available as evidenced by their performance in The Association for Computing Machinery's Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (ACM KDD) competition.

"MEDai is in a unique position in that we offer a business intelligence solution that helps employers understand the effects of the potential plan management decisions they will be making," said Mr. Epstein. "Our models help employers in their continuing struggle to bear the cost of providing effective coverage for their employees," he added.
