MEDai Hosts Workshop at Predictive Modeling
Implementation Conference
March 24, 2006 – (Orlando, FL) - MEDai, Inc., headquartered in Orlando, FL, a leading provider of advanced solutions for healthcare that utilize award-winning predictive modeling technology, announced earlier this week that it will be hosting an important workshop at World Research Group's 3rd Annual Optimizing the Implementation of Predictive Modeling conference. The conference being held in Las Vegas, NV, March 28-31, 2006 focuses on the latest and most innovative strategies currently being implemented and deployed by leading health plans and healthcare organizations. MEDai's workshop will focus on identifying gaps in care and utilizing that information to improve patient compliance.
For more than a decade, MEDai's predictive modeling application Risk Navigator Clinical has accurately forecasted prospective high-risk patients to improve patients' health and quality of care while controlling cost. The advantage of MEDai's prediction engine is its use of the right combination of linear and non-linear models to correctly "fit" the characteristics of the client's population. In addition to forecasting those that are high-risk/high-cost, Risk Navigator Clinical allows care managers to quickly identify members with the greatest impact potential from both financial and quality of life perspectives; improve underwriting accuracy; and increase renewal rates.
In addition to hosting the workshop, MEDai will also be chairing the event. "This conference is an excellent forum where healthcare leaders can come together to identify best practices in the area of predictive modeling and discuss the issues facing healthcare," said Steve Epstein, President and CEO of MEDai. "We are very excited about hosting this workshop," he added.
